CLEARCOAT 44 is a single component, moisture cure, aliphatic clear urethane coating.  It produces a tough, glossy, hard wearing and chemically resistant surface.  CLEARCOAT 44 may be used alone as a clear, tough gloss coat over masonry, concrete, vinyl, wood, or other approved substrates. If specified, a range of textured aggregates is available to provide a traction enhanced surface. CLEARCOAT 44 was tested for conformance to industrial standards to meet the approval of the sealant waterproofing and restoration institute (SWR Institute). This product was validated using third party verification to certify that it performed above industry standards. CLEARCOAT 44 is also used over bright metal surfaces to maintain their appearance and prevent tarnishing

Application:

All surfaces to be coated must be clean, dry, and completely free of loose particles, grease, oil, or any substance that would interfere with proper bond. CLEARCOAT 44 may be applied over products such as POLAFLOOR COLORCOAT after the POLAFLOOR COLORCOAT has been thoroughly dry for at least 1 hour. If overcoating a painted surface, check compatibility first, as some paints may bleed color or be lifted by solvents.

CLEARCOAT 44 may be applied by brush or airless spray technique in a thin, even coat. Care should be taken to avoid creating foam or trapping air bubbles which may later result in pinholes or hazing. If traction enhancement is required, iron-free sharp white quartz sand or Soft Sand Rubber Granules may be broadcast onto the wet CLEARCOAT 44. After the first coat has thoroughly dried with the embedded sand, a second coat of CLEARCOAT 44 is applied to thoroughly encapsulate the aggregate. Sized and graded sharp white quartz sand and Sand Rubber Granules are available from Andek Corporation.

Equipment may be cleaned with toluene or xylene while the CLEARCOAT 44 is still wet.

Limitations:

Do not use below 35°F.  Do not apply if the application cannot be protected from precipitation for 4 hours.  Shelf life is 12 months when stored in proprietary containers between 45°F and 95°F.  Open containers will exhibit a reduced shelf life due to moisture absorption.

Maintenance:

Damaged areas should be thoroughly sanded and cleaned and then recoated.  Dirt accumulations may be removed with warm water and detergent.

Precautions:

Read the container label warning and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for important health and safety information prior to the use of this product.
