POLACAV is a premium quality single component on-site industrial protective coating for metal and plastics. It is solvent-based and may be applied in any temperature range. POLACAV is designed for permanent flexibility and toughness, to bridge and move with hairline cracks, and to resist impingement attack. POLACAV has excellent adhesion underwater in fluid flow environments and will protect against the destructive impact of cavitation. It is used successfully in the repair of turbines, propellers, pumps, chutes, flumes, grates and tanks.

Can be used over concrete, stucco, mineral composites, bricks/masonry, fibreglass composites, most metals, insulation, porous stone, non-porous stone, urethane foam and other surfaces.
Surfaces to be coated must be dry and free of loose debris, dirt, oils, grease, or any other substance that could interfere with proper bond. POLACAV may be applied straight from its container after 2 minutes of low speed power stirring. Apply POLACAV using brush or roller.
All repairs to the substrate must be completed prior to application of POLACAV. Worn steel surfaces may be rebuilt with machinable epoxy; concrete may be restored with Polafloor Epoxy Topping and Polajoint. Fiberglass reinforced polyester and other plastics may be repaired with Polafab and Polaprime Epoxy or Andek 950. Please contact Andek’s Technical Department for advice regarding specific surface preparation. Apply 2 coats of POLACAV in a smooth, even fashion to achieve a uniform coating thickness of 15 wet mils per coat. Allow the first coat adequate time to dry before application of the second coat.
Equipment may be cleaned with xylene or toluene before POLACAV begins to dry.
Do not apply to wet, damp, or frozen surfaces. Proper surface preparation and priming where required are very important to product performance. Surface must remain at least 5°F above dew point during the application and curing process. Shelf life is 2 years when stored indoors in factory sealed containers. This product is combustible. Keep away from heat, sparks and flame. Use only EP (explosion-proof) rated equipment.
Read the container label warning and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for important health and safety information prior to the use of this product.
Keep product out of reach of children and pets.
