POLASEAL E is a water-based, single component water repellent treatment for use on a wide variety of masonry and wood substrates. It penetrates the substrate and then cures by reaction with air to lock itself into the pore structure of the substrate. POLASEAL E is highly effective as a single coat treatment and will not alter the appearance of the substrate.
- Low odor, very low toxicity, easy handling and clean-up, environmentally safe
- Won't break down from UV rays, microbiological activity, environmental pollutants
- Actives won't evaporate, migrate, or wash away after treatment
- Stops liquid phase water penetration with just one coat
- Reduces attack from de-icing chemicals on masonry; retards rot on wood
- Provides consistently high water-repellency protection
- Allows the treated surface to breath
Can be used over wood, wood composites and other surfaces.
POLASEAL E is always used as a single coat treatment. Surfaces to be treated must be clean and free of loose debris, dirt, mildew, oils and grease. The surface may be damp but not wet. A dry surface is preferable since it will allow maximum penetration of POLASEAL E into the substrate.
As a water-repellent treatment on masonry:
Apply POLASEAL E by brush, roller or low pressure spray techniques. Low pressure spray is recommended where practical for rapid and thorough application of POLASEAL E. For a vertical surface, start at the top and use horizontal strokes. Fully saturate the surface with POLASEAL E. When spraying, apply enough material to generate a slight rundown of product. For a horizontal surface, start at one edge and work backward, toward the opposite edge, applying enough POLASEAL E to saturate the surface. The surfaces must be permitted to dry after treatment for proper cure to take place.
As a water-repellent treatment for wood:
POLASEAL E will effectively treat most types of raw unpainted wood. By treating the wood, the discoloration from water attack and fungal attack will be greatly reduced. Treat the wood by dampening with a heavy spray, roller or brush application of POLASEAL E. Treated wood must be given time to dry before contact with water.
Clean tools immediately after use with water.
Any previously treated, stained, or painted surface must have a test application to insure compatibility. A test application is also recommended if exact coverage figures are required. Do not apply to a frosted or saturated surface. Do not apply if precipitation is forecast within 8 hours. Do not spray in strong wind conditions. It is strongly advised to protect adjacent shrubbery from overspray. Overspray will not affect most glass, metal, or painted surfaces if removed shortly after application. Remove any overspray from glass, metal or vinyl surfaces immediately after application by wiping with a damp cloth, followed by wiping with glass cleaner. Clean tools immediately after application with water.
If a treated surface becomes dirty, pressure wash with water or soapy solution. Rinse with a clean water spray.
